Basem has more than 19 years of experience in the HR field and practically in Human Resources Development. His last position was a senior Training & Career Development Specialist and lecturer in Bahrain Training Institute where he is working since 2006. His duties includes: Teaching NQF levels 5, 6 and 7 qualifications in the business department, delivering training, analyzing the employees training needs, putting the training plans, evaluating the training effects and handling all type of other training issues.
Basem started his professional career in 2000 on Jawad Business Group as a Training Specialist. One year later he worked in Ministry of Labor for two years as a Training Specialist before he moved to the Council of representatives where he worked as Training & Management Development Specialist for five years. 
In addition to the MSc from DePaul University in Human Resources Management, Basem achieved many qualifications such as the BSc in Business Administration from Bahrain University and the Associate Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the same university, as well as the Certificate in Training Practice (CTP) from the Institute of Personnel Development from the United Kingdom, and he is currently a certified CIPD trainer (since 2015) and a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources & Compensation from IHRME.
