Mohamed Mahmood is a professional consultant in Projects Management and Aluminium Technology with more than 30 years of experience in executives’ management and leadership roles in Aluminium Bahrain Alba.
His last post was The Chief Operation Officer at Alba and he retired early on January 2011. Mohamed has published many technical papers on Aluminium technology and also on the effective employees’ motivation and team building.
As a project management specialist, Mohamed got in charge of two mega projects involving the construction of 2 Aluminium roads and conductors’ plants, one in Australia and the other in Mozambique. The plant in Australia is commissioned on 28th March 2013 one month ahead of the plan and within the budget control. The plant in Mozambique is successfully commissioning in December 2014 within the budget control.
Mohamed has worked for one year (2017) in Balexco (Bahrain Extrusion Company) as a consultant in the capacity of the General Manager in charge of the company.
During the span of one year he led the management to increase the Sales by 17% and improved the productivity across all the operational areas in the plant.
Also introduced training schemes to improve employees’ skills and leadership.
Being an active member in the Human Capital development in Bahrain, one of his main passions in life is the development of youth to enable them to be leaders for the future.
Mohamed was the President of the Bahrain Society for Training & Development (BSTD) from year 2012 to 2018.
Under his presidency, the BSTD won the best professional Society Award in Bahrain for year 2015.
He is now appointed as the CEO and the advisor to the board.
